Andrea Taylor, BFA, PT, DPT
Owner & Director
Ballet Technique, Mini Combo
Andrea Taylor is the Owner and Director of Dance Kinetics and newly organized Wichita Performing Arts Foundation. She brings over a decade of experience nurturing dancers of all ages. Known for her dynamic teaching style and deep commitment to technical excellence, Andrea specializes in creative movement for young dancers, holds Acrobatic Arts and Progressing Ballet Technique certifications, and provides pre‑professional training in ballet, contemporary, and pointe.
Andrea began her dance journey at the age of three with MGM Studio of the Dance in Wichita, Kansas, under the direction of Mary Mayta. Her passion and talent earned her a significant scholarship to Friends University, where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance and Business Administration while training under Stan and Sharon Rodgers.
Throughout her career, Andrea has studied and performed with renowned artists such as Shawn Stevens (formerly New York City Ballet and Twyla Tharp), Dominic Walsh (Dominic Walsh Dance Theater), Melonie Buchanan Murray (Director of the University of Utah School of Dance), and Misty Rascon Smith (acclaimed commercial choreographer and master instructor). She also trained pre‑professionally with Ballet Austin before pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Wichita State University, deepening her understanding of dancer wellness, anatomy, and injury prevention.
After starting her family, Andrea expanded her professional journey beyond the studio, joining the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Prosthetics. She now oversees DME procurement for Veterans—work she is profoundly passionate about and considers an extension of her lifelong commitment to helping others move, heal, and thrive.
Andrea’s approach to dance education is rooted in technical integrity, creativity, and holistic development. Her studio is built on the belief that every student—whether recreational or pre‑professional—deserves a safe, inspiring space to grow as both an artist and a person.

Breanna Maggart
Jazz & Lyrical technique
costume and prop designer
Breanna grew up in a small Alabama town where her love for the arts began early. She has extensive training in jazz, lyrical, ballet, contemporary, and acro, and is known for her strong technical foundation and thoughtful approach to movement. Breanna is passionate about helping dancers develop strength, control, flexibility, and expressive artistry.
From a young age, the studio was a place of safety and empowerment for Breanna—a feeling she is committed to creating for every student she teaches. She believes in supporting dancers as both artists and individuals, nurturing confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for the art form.
Breanna continued her training at the collegiate level as a member of the Auburn University Tiger Paws Dance Team, while also teaching and choreographing for a local studio. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in early childhood development before relocating to Albany, NY, with her husband. There, she continued teaching and completed her graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Breanna and her family moved to Wichita in 2020, where they quickly found a strong sense of community and belonging. As a mother of three, she brings compassion, structure, and an encouraging spirit to every class. Her teaching style emphasizes technical clarity, personal growth, and creating a supportive environment where dancers can thrive both on and off the stage.

Olivia Lockwood is a proud original founding member of Dance Kinetics and one of the studio’s earliest emerging artists. She recently graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, where she trained extensively under renowned faculty and performed across a wide range of contemporary and classical works. During her time at WSU, Olivia was a four‑year member of the Division I Dance Team, representing the university at national competitions each season.
As resident choreographer for Dance Kinetics, Olivia has developed a distinctive creative voice shaped by musicality, innovation, and technical precision.
